Rev. Russ Ramsey
Pastor
Russ Ramsey, the pastor of Oak Hills, joined the staff in January 2003. He and his wife Lisa live in Olathe with their four children Chris, Maggie, Kate and Jane. The Ramsey's came to Oak Hills from St. Louis where Russ directed the college ministry of Chesterfield Presbyterian Church as well as Covenant Seminary’s Youth in Ministry Institute. Before that, Russ directed the Art House, a ministry to the creative community in Nashville started by contemporary recording artist Charlie Peacock. Russ and his family, having been firsthand recipients of the goodness of the care of the Body of Christ, desire to serve the people of Oak Hills—both current and yet to be named—through winsome and faithful Gospel ministry in the love and grace of Christ.

Rev. Jon Dunning
Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries
Jon is our Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries. A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Covenant Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri, Jon is excited to be serving the youth and families of Oak Hills. Jon met his wife Tricia in Saint Louis while Jon was earning his Master of Divinity degree and Tricia was working as an engineer. In addition to being the "youth guy" at Oak Hills, Jon is also an avid musician with a love for his wife and a hankering to turn anything into his next drum. When Jon isn’t banging out rhythms and searching for great sounds, he enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and throwing a frisbee. Jon has a passion for the young people of Oak Hills to grow in their love and knowledge of our Savior as He transforms their lives.

Heidi Toren
Director of Worship Arts
Heidi has lived in Shawnee with her husband Paul and four children Evan, Aaron, Anna and Kendall for the past ten years. She has served as a music & worship leader and been active in the area of Worship Arts for a number of churches in Kansas City, St. Louis and in Chicago. Heidi’s passion is to create a worship experience that truly reflects the glory of the Lord and liberates His children to freely express their devotion to Him.

Laura Muckerman
Administrator
Laura Muckerman, a native of St. Louis, worked in the development office of Covenant Theological Seminary for the seven years prior to her joining the team at Oak Hills. She brings to the church a rich background in administrative and creative experience. She works alongside Pastor Russ and Pastor Jon in seeing to the details of everyday life at the church while her creativity and attention to detail results in the development and accessibility of the many ministry resources and events Oak Hills has to offer—taking spoken words and turning them into study series for personal and group discipleship and coordinating fun fellowship events for the church family. As for her other local family, she is the “mother” of two cats, whom she loves dearly.
