Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion
- Read Mark 5:21-43. How are Jairus and the woman vastly different? What do they have in common?
- What do we learn about Jesus in this story? How does this connect with the previous two stories (4:35-5:20)? What is the significance of Jesus calling the woman “daughter,” especially in connection with Jairus’ concern for his daughter?
- What is faith? How does the woman demonstrate/practice faith? What does faith look like for Jairus when he learns that his daughter has died (v. 36)?
- How does faith save us from illness and death now? Will we be free from all sickness? How does Christ save us from sickness and death?
