Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Acts 2:42-47. To what did the early church commit? Why are these things significant/important?
  2. Consider the other places Luke speaks of “the breaking of the bread”: Luke 24:30-35 and Acts 20:7-12. What is Luke speaking about when he uses this phrase?
  3. What do the habits of the early church teach us about communion observance?
  4. How does the Lord respond habits of Scripture study, prayers, and communion observance?
  5. What habits of grace mark your life? What are you devoted to? What is missing?

Memory Verse of the Week: Acts 2:42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (ESV)
