Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Hosea 14:1-9. In what ways is the word “return” and “turn” (the same in Hebrew) used in this chapter?
- Why should we “return” to God when it is God we have sinned against?
- What “words” should we use in our return to the Lord? How does the example of verses 2-3 provide a framework for our own prayers?
- What does God promise in verses 4-8? How does this compare with Psalm 1 & John 15?
- Wisdom involves applying what we know so that we walk in the ways of the Lord. What does it mean to walk in the knowledge that we have been unfaithful?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. 19 He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. (ESV)
