- Christology Breeds Confidence
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Hebrews 4:14-16. What do we learn about Jesus from these verses? What makes him so great? Be sure to check out Hebrews 2:14-18 as well.
- What do we mean when we say “Christology breeds perseverance…confidence”? How does this encourage you to be a diligent student of theology?
- What does it mean to “hold fast our confession” (v. 14)? Why is this so important? Compare with Hebrews 3:12-14.
- What does it mean to “draw near to the throne of grace”? Why might we lack confidence to draw near? What hinders you from drawing near?
- What can you do in this new year to cultivate a deeper prayer life?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (ESV)
