My family came to Oak Hills just before I started Junior High. I was 12 years old at the time. The youth group has been a big part of my life the entire time I’ve been at Oak Hills. There have been so many people who have poured time and energy into my life, mainly through the youth ministry, Bible studies, and good coffee time. About the middle of high school, I started to help with the youth ministry and the children’s ministry. I benefited so much from the youth ministry, and it was just as beneficial to be on the giving end, if not more.
Oak Hills gave me roots in what I believe. I grew up surrounded by people who lived with genuine faith, who showed me what it means to live through God’s grace, and who showed me how to love others well.
