  1. Read Mark 9:30-37. Why would Jesus not want anyone in Galilee to know he was passing through?
  2. Why would the disciples not understand Jesus’ teaching about his impending death, even though this is the second time speaking about it?
  3. In the midst of this journey, how could the disciples argue about who is the greatest? In what is this desire to be great rooted?
  4. Explain Jesus’ lesson about the child. What did he want to teach his followers? What does this look like in our lives? Volunteering for the children’s ministry?
