  1. Read Mark 10:46-52. Has Bartimaeus ever met Jesus before? How would he know to cry out to Jesus?
  2. How does Bartimaeus transform from a blind beggar to a disciple following Jesus? What did Bartimaeus need to know? What did he need to do?
  3. What do we learn about Jesus from this encounter? Consider Psalm 86 in light of Bartimaeus’ cry (in particular verses 15-16).
  4. How does Bartimaeus demonstrate faith? What is saving faith? Do you have faith?
