  1. Read Mark 12:1-12. For whom does Jesus give this parable? Who is condemned by this parable?
  2. In the abundance of servants sent and then the sending of the son, what do we learn about the owner of this vineyard? What does this teach us about God? (Consider Isaiah 5:1-7).
  3. How is Israel (or the leaders of Israel) like the tenants? Where does the Church figure into this parable?
  4. Why does Jesus quote Psalm 118:22-23 in verses 10-11? How does this apply to the parable?
  5. How does this parable apply to individuals? Are we any different from the evil tenants? What’s the significance of this?
