Hebrews: The Greatness of Christ
Persevering in Confidence
- Recalling the Power of God's Grace
- Building Faithful Endurance
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Hebrews 10:32-39. How is this paragraph connected with the preceding paragraph? What is the author’s thought pattern?
- How can remebering one’s “struggle with sufferings” be helpful or encouraging? What did the original readers suffer? What have you suffered as a Christian?
- How can one “joyfully” accept the plundering of their property? What does it look like for us to “use” our property joyfully for others?
- The author mentions confidence (v. 35), endurance (v. 36), and faith (v. 39). How are these three related? How is our “reward” contingent on these three and still by grace?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. (ESV)
