- Read Hebrews 11:32-40. What comes to mind when you hear the names of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, and Samuel? Were they extraordinary or ordinary people? Explain.
- Consider the accomplishments listed in verses 33-35a. In what ways are these extraordinary? In what ways are they rooted in the ordinary practices of life? How does faith transform your ordinary day-to-day life?
- A transition takes place in verse 35. What is that transition? What does the author highlight in verses 35b-38? What is the limit of faith?
- The people of faith are called “worthy.” What does this mean? What is the worth of faith? How does faith “perfect” us?
