The Unshaken Kingdom
- Our Mountain Assembly
- Heeding The Word that Shakes
- Worshiping the One who Shakes
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Hebrews 12:18-29. What are the two mountains spoken about in verses 18-24? What difference is emphasized here?
- What does it mean “to come to Mount Zion”? How does this reality (v. 22-24) encourage you?
- What are the commands in verses 25-29? Why do these commands follow the reality of verses 22-24? How does the assembly at “Mount Zion” encourage and empower obedience of these commands?
- In verses 26-28 the author uses the word “shake” in one form or another 5 times. What is the author communicating with this word? How does it impact our faith?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. (ESV)
