God’s Power in Weakness
- God Requires our Weakness
- God’s Encouragement in our Weakness
- God’s Victory in our Weakness
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Judges 7:1-25. What stands out to you from this chapter? How has Gideon developed since we first met him in chapter 6?
- Why would God say that Gideon had too many men in his army? Why does God require or desire our weakness?
- What do we learn about God in verse 9? How have you witnessed God’s patient kindness with you?
- Why is Gideon’s “worship” in verse 15 significant? What hinders your worship when confronted with weakness?
- Reflect on 2 Corinthians 12:9. Of what weaknesses would you boast? What does it look like for Christ’s power to rest on you in those weaknesses?
Memory Verse of the Week:
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (ESV)
