Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read John 4:27-42. Consider the woman’s actions and words. What has happened to her? What has brought about this transformation?
- What is Jesus’ food? How does this “satisfy” him?
- What is the harvest? Who are the sowers and reapers? According to verse 36, what is reaped?
- Who are the “others” who have labored in sowing? How do we “enter into their labor”?
- What is the significance of the title “Savior of the world” which the Samaritans use for Jesus?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (ESV)
