- Read 2 Peter 1:3-11. What catches your attention from this passage? Why? What is Peter’s main concern?
- Verse 5 opens with “for this very reason.” What is he referring to? Why is God’s grace so essential to our growth?
- Michael Green writes, “Human effort is indispensable, even though it is inadequate.” How would this statement apply to verse 5? How do we reconcile the indispensability and inadequacy of our efforts?
- What’s the relationship between godliness and brotherly affection? Can you have one without the other?
- What does brotherly affection look like in the local church? How is it essential to our fruitfulness?
