Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read John 10:22-42. Has Jesus told the Jews plainly that he is the Christ? When? In what ways?
  2. Read Matthew 12:33-37. How does the principle in Mt. 12:33 apply to Jesus’s appeal to believe in his works? What do his works reveal?
  3. What do we learn about Jesus’ sheep in verses 27-28? How should these verses shape how we view the church and what the church does?
  4. In what ways are Jesus and the Father one? What is the significance of this statement?
  5. In verse 38, Jesus makes understanding to be the result of believing. Why is it important to understand the logic of this progression?

Memory Verse of the Week:

John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (ESV)
