Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read John 10:22-42. Has Jesus told the Jews plainly that he is the Christ? When? In what ways?
- Read Matthew 12:33-37. How does the principle in Mt. 12:33 apply to Jesus’s appeal to believe in his works? What do his works reveal?
- What do we learn about Jesus’ sheep in verses 27-28? How should these verses shape how we view the church and what the church does?
- In what ways are Jesus and the Father one? What is the significance of this statement?
- In verse 38, Jesus makes understanding to be the result of believing. Why is it important to understand the logic of this progression?
Memory Verse of the Week:
John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (ESV)
