- Read John 11:45-57. Why do many of the Jews believe in Jesus at this point? What happens to these believers?
- Why are the chief priests and Pharisees so upset or anxious? How do they see the death of Jesus to be an answer to their problems?
- How can God use the sinful words and actions of people like Caiaphas for his purposes? Consider Acts 4:27-28 and the example of Pharoah in Exodus.
- In what ways have you seen the sovereignty of God ordering the events and circumstances of your life? Is this easier to identify in hindsight or in the present? Why?
