- Read John 12:37-50. What is startling about or in this passage? What makes this so startling?
- Read the two Isaiah quotes in their context: Isaiah 53:1 and Isaiah 6:10. What do these verses mean in their original contexts? How does John apply them to Jesus’ ministry? What does John mean by verse 41?
- How does the love of the glory that comes from men undermine faith?
- Verses 44-50 are the last words of Jesus to the crowds in the Gospel of John. What does Jesus press upon the people? How should we respond to these words?
