Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read John 13:1-11. What strikes you about Jesus’ actions?
- What is the source of Jesus’ strength as he faces imminent betrayal, denial, and death?
- How does knowing 1. The sovereignty of God; 2. The blessings of God; 3. Our identity in God; and 4. Our secure future in God strengthen us to endure hardship and sacrificially serve others?
- What can we do to be like Jesus? What feeds and supports our “knowledge” of all the goodness for us in God?
Memory Verse of the Week:
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. (ESV)
