- The Glorifying Work of the Spirit
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read John 16:4-15. Why would Jesus say it is “advantageous” to his followers for him to depart? Why might we not believe or live like this is to our advantage?
- What is the convicting work of the Spirit? Is this gracious? Why or why not?
- What is the guiding work of the Spirit? Did the apostles experience this in a different way than we experience it? What place does Scripture have in the guiding work of the Spirit?
- What is the glorifying work of the Spirit? How does the Spirit glorify Christ to you?
- How is the Spirit working in your life? Give thanks for God’s gracious gift of the Spirit to you.
Memory Verse of the Week:
John 16:14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. (ESV)
