Warning: Do Not Mix With Anything

  • Present Danger
  • Prone to Wander
  • Unpolluted Good News

Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Titus 1:10-16. What is a present danger to the young church on Crete?
  2. What characteristics does Paul use to describe those who are stirring up trouble? What impact are they having on the church?
  3. Being “sound in the faith” is opposed to “devoting [oneself] to Jewish myths and the commands of people”. What might be some of the “myths” and “commands of people” that are prevalent in churches today? Are there any that you are prone to trusting in?
  4. What is the goal and purpose for Paul’s command to rebuke those referenced in v. 10?
  5. Look at v. 15-16. If we are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone, is there any importance to our actions and behaviors? In what ways?

Memory Verse of the Week:

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (ESV)
