Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Genesis 7:1-24. What catches your attention from this passage? Why?
  2. In what ways do you see God working in this passage? In what ways is Noah working in this passage?
  3. Consider Hebrews 1:3 and Colossians 1:17. What do these passages say about God’s preservation of creation? How should we understand natural disasters in light of God’s preservation?
  4. Read Romans 8:18-25. Why does creation suffer judgment? What hope is there for creation?
  5. Who is saved in the flood narrative? How is he (are they) saved? Who will be saved from final judgment? How will they be saved?
