Reaping Joy

  • The Joy of Past Restoration
  • The Joy of Future Restoration

Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Psalm 126. Do you ever find it hard to rejoice? Where does this psalm draw our attention to as we consider where true joy is found?
  2. The Psalmist in v. 1-3 points us to God’s past deliverances and restorations. What are some ways that God has delivered you in the past? What are at least three effects that God’s powerful and gracious restoring work should produce in us?
  3. The Psalmist in v. 4-6 points us to anticipate with confidence God’s future restoration. What imagery does the Psalmist use to convey this? How might the Lord be encouraging you and strengthening your faith in Him today in the midst of awaiting this future restoration?
  4. How does this psalm point us to the gospel? How can you take this psalm and make it your prayer this week?

Memory Verse of the Week:
