Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Acts 2:42-47. What catches your attention in this passage? This is a description of the early church. Why should we consider it as an example for us today?
- Read 2 Corinthians 3:14-4:6. What do the veil and hardened hard represent? How is the veil removed? What happens when we behold Christ with “unveiled faces”?
- How does 2 Corinthians 3:14-4:6 help us understand what happened with those who were saved in Acts 2:41 and how they lived in Acts 2:42-47?
- Consider the things the early church is doing in Acts 2:42-47. In what ways are we doing these things at Oak Hills? What are we missing? How about you personally?
- Is the statement about growth at the end of verse 47 a result of the churches activity in verses 42-47? Why or why not?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Acts 2:42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (ESV)
