Refreshed by the Body
MESSAGE – Rev. Dr. Dale Thiele
Times of Refreshing
Refreshed by the Body
- Transformed by the Gospel
- Sacrificial Love
- Faithful Service
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read 2 Timothy 1:3-18. What catches your attention from this passage? Why?
- What is Paul’s main exhortation to Timothy in this chapter? What role do the verses 15-18 play with that exhortation?
- Why would “all who are in Asia” turn away from Paul? Of what are they ashamed?
- Why is Paul so thankful for Onesiphorus? Why does Onesiphorus do what he does? What motivates him?
- We can say Paul is at one of his lowest points in his life when he is in prison in Rome. How does Onesiphorus “refresh” him? Why is the refreshment of fellow members of the body so important? Does this mean Christ is not sufficient?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Romans 12:5 So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (ESV)
