Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Psalm 23:1-6. What catches your attention from this passage? Why?
- What is the significance of the name “Lord,” especially as it relates to Moses and the burning bush (Ex. 3)? Why does David call him “my” Lord?
- What does Jesus as the Good Shepherd provide? What do we lack?
- What is the “valley of the shadow of death”? In what ways have you walked through this valley in your life? How does the presence of Jesus change these valleys?
- Verses 5 & 6 describe rich blessings for those who know Jesus as their shepherd. Why should the followers of Christ be the most joy-filled people?
