Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Genesis 40:1-23. What catches your attention from this passage? Why?
  2. What is Joseph’s position in the prison? Why is he still trusted by the “captain of the guard”?
  3. How does Joseph respond to the two officials after their dreams? How is Joseph’s faith evident in verse 8?
  4. What does Joseph ask of the cupbearer as payment for interpreting his dream? Why is it good that Joseph does not get his wish immediately?
  5. Who does not forget Joseph? Why is remembrance (ours and God’s) so important?

Memory Verse of the Week:

Psalm 25:6 Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. (ESV)
