It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end with school starting for most in the next week or two (if you haven't started already...). We're going to wrap up our Wednesday summer fun tomorrow night with a bang! 7-8:30pm at the church.

We're planning to do an activity called Tank Wars (weather permitting**). Both YG and Kid 360 will participate. The kids split up in groups of 4-5 and are given a fridge-sized cardboard box, duct tape, and spray paint and instructed to build a "tank" that would protect themselves (they need to travel in the tank, I.e. Cut and shape the box to "fit" around them, allowing their legs to be free to walk and run). Then, each group gets the "opportunity" to travel in their tank through the "gauntlet." This simply is a course marked out by cones. Throughout the gauntlet, the tank will be bombarded by the others with water balloons, water guns, the hose, etc (we will be thoughtful with our younger kids from Kid360...). The aim is to make it through the gauntlet and have your tank survive. It's a ton of fun; everyone gets wet/messy; at the end, everyone is a winner just for the experience.

So...kids should come prepared to get wet. Bring super soakers, squirt guns, any kind of water weapon and be prepared to attack! We have all of the supplies for the tanks.
