FOR THE WHOLE CHURCH FAMILY
Sunday School - Sundays, 9:30am
We have three classes for children and youth.
PreK - 1st - taught by Noel Heinbach. Studying the Beginners Kids' Quest Catechism Vol. 3 (Q. 29-46 of First Catechism).
2nd-5th Grade - taught by Joel Call. Studying the B-I-B-L-E Curriculum Unit 2 (Nehemiah-Nahum). This Curriculum takes the kids through the general overview and themes of every book of the Bible.
Youth (grades 6th-12th) - taught by Pastor John. Studying Respectable Sins and Habits of Grace.
ACE - Adult Christian Education Class
The Gospel accounts and Acts frequently refer to the disciples. Who were they? What distinguished them from others? And perhaps most importantly, what relationship do they have to us today, and our mission of presenting everyone mature in Christ? During this class we are looking at the implications of Christ's call to discipleship on our lives.
Officer Nominations - During the Month of September
The Session requests the members of Oak Hills to prayerfully nominate men who they deem to be qualified to serve in the offices of elder or deacon during September. Nomination forms are available at church; due September 25.
Church Workday - Saturday, September 24, 10am
Join us as we tackle various projects around the church in order to spruce up the building.
Grace-Empowered Leadership Training 101 - Starting Sunday, September 25, After the Worship Service
John Maxwell once defined leadership as "influence, nothing more, nothing less." In this sense, every Christian has leadership responsibility. This leadership training course will meet four times this Fall (all Sundays, over lunch after the service) to cover the basics of grace-empowered leadership. The elders would love for all who volunteer in some capacity at Oak Hills to attend this seminar. Let Pastor Dale know if you are interested in participating this Fall.
Harvest Party - Saturday, October 29, 4:30-7:30pm
Join us for a family-friendly night together filled with a Chili Cook-Off, Trunk or Treat, Inflatables, and other fun activities. We are needing Chili Cook-Off Contestants and decorated cars for our Trunk or Treat this year (A great way to get the family, life group, etc. involved). If you are interested, there is a sign-up sheet at the welcome table or you can let Pastor John know. Feel free to invite family and friends!
