Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion
- Read Psalm 119:9-16 (read the whole Psalm if you have the time). How would you categorize this poem? What is the theme? What does the author want to emphasize?
- Why is keeping your “way” pure so important? What is purity? How does the Word of God help keep our way pure?
- The psalmist states that he seeks God with all his heart and that he delights (an action of the heart) in God’s statues. How is a pursuit of God and enjoyment in his Word connected? Or, in other words, how are they inseparable?
- Write down all of the verbs the psalmist uses to describe the activities he does with the Word. What would doing these look like in your life?
