Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion

1. Read Revelation 21:1-8. List the “good things” that are promised with the new heavens and new earth. What is the greatest good of heaven? Why is this so good?
2. Consider verses 1, 4 and 8. What will not be in heaven? What are the implications of these absences (i.e. why is this so good)?
3. Consider Ephesians 2:7 as a statement of what will be happening for all eternity in heaven. What will increase for all eternity? Will heaven be static (even boring)? Why or why not?
4. Evaluate this statement: “You are so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good.” How does a deeper longing for and understanding of heaven “renew” us for good in this life?
