  1. Read 2 Peter 1:1-11. What is the connection between Peter's prayer in verse 2 and his exhortation in the following verses?
  2. Highlight or take note of each time Peter uses the word "knowledge" in this passage. What role does knowledge play in the believer's life? What kind of knowledge is this?
  3. What does God graciously give us? How does he give us these blessings?
  4. To what have we been called? What does God desire for us?
  5. Why do we need to "make every effort" (v. 5) to add these virtues when "his divine power has granted to us all things pertaining to life and godliness?
