  1. Read Jonah 4:1-11. What causes Jonah to respond the way he does? Why does he feel it would be better to die than to live?
  2. Can a Christian have a hard heart? Explain. What are the signs/symptoms of a hard heart? What is the remedy/cure for a hard heart?
  3. Take note of the word “appointed” in Jonah 4. What do we learn here? How does God’s sovereignty make a difference in our lives?
  4. Consider the over message of Jonah: a wakeup call to the people of God to behold their God and center their lives and mission on Him and His character. What conclusion should play out for our church? For you?
