Solus Christus: Confidence in Christ
- The Sufficiency of Christ’s Sacrifice
- The Security of Christ’s Sacrifice
- The Significance of Christ’s Sacrifice
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Hebrews 10:11-25. Why do the priests need to offer repeatedly the same sacrifices? If they were not effective, why did God even prescribe such an activity?
- Explain verse 14. What has Christ done? What is he doing?
- To what does the Holy Spirit bear witness to us? What is being affirmed in verses 16 & 17?
- In what does our confidence lie? What does this confidence lead us to do?
- If Christ is “sufficient,” why is there a command for stirring up one another (v. 24)? In other words, why do we need one another and the church if Christ is sufficient?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Hebrews 10:14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. (ESV)
