1. Read Hebrews 11:23-31. What is faith? How is faith demonstrated by the people mentioned in this passage?
2. What were the dangers faced by Moses’ parents, by Moses, and by Rahab? How is faith able to overcome fear and danger?
3. What sacrifices did Moses make? How does sacrifice demonstrate faith?
4. Consider the reflection from John Owen on page 3. How are sacrifice and mortification similar? Different? Why is mortification of sin necessary for faith?
5. What is the strength behind these demonstrations of faith? What means can/should you use to strengthen your faith?
