Sacrificial Ministry for the Gospel

  • The Character of Timothy and Epaphroditus
  • The Love of Timothy and Epaphroditus
  • Honor for Timothy and Epaphroditus

Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Philippians 2:19-30. What do we know about the character of Timothy and Epaphroditus from this passage?
  2. What do we learn about their love for the Philippian church?
  3. Can you minister the gospel to someone you do not love? Why or why not? Why is love so vital for gospel ministry?
  4. For whom do you “long”? For who are you “genuinely concerned”? If you don’t have such a longing for anyone, what should you do?
  5. Paul commands us to “honor such men.” What does it look like to honor them?

Memory Verse of the Week:

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. (ESV)
