Daniel: Hope Amid a Hostile World
Trapped Between the North & the South
- The Futility of Earthly Kingdoms
- The Danger Until the Time of the End
- The Power of Knowing God
Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:
- Read Daniel 11:2-45. Why do you think such a historically focused prophecy is in the Bible? How did it serve the OT Israelites? How does it serve us today?
- With such precise predictions of activities of future rulers, how should we understand the relationship of human free will with God’s sovereignty in light of Daniel 11?
- How should we understand Daniel 11 in light of Daniel 10 (the reality of spiritual conflict)?
- Consider verse 32. This verse summarizes two alternative responses to the great persecution among the believers. In what ways does the evil one seek to seduce believers today?
- How does knowing God make a difference for believers in their stand against the evil one?
Memory Verse of the Week:
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. (ESV)
