- Read Ephesians 1:3-6. Why do you think Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians with this extended prayer of praise (v. 3-14)? What tone does that set for the letter?
- What does Paul reveal about these blessings in verse 3? Skim briefly Deuteronomy 28:1-14. Compare the blessings of the OT with the blessings of the NT.
- What are the blessings Paul outlines in these verses? What makes them so good?
- Think about the practical application of these verses. What difference do the truths in these verses make in the challenges of life? Anxiety? Despair? Disappointment? Physical ailments? Etc.
