Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Ephesians 1:18-23. Paul prays that we would know “the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe.” How does Paul explain or illustrate that power in verses 20-23?
  2. Paul certainly had in mind Psalms 8 & 110 as he wrote these verses. Read those psalms. How do they help us understand Ephesians 1:20-23?
  3. What rule or authority or power or dominion do we often fear or subject ourselves to? In Ephesus it was magic and spiritual forces (Acts 19:19). What are they in this modern age?
  4. What encouragement is there for the church to have Christ as head?
  5. In what ways do you live as if Christ does not reign? What would be different in your life if you lived as Christ reigned over all?
