Questions for Further Study or Group Discussion:

  1. Read Ephesians 4:11-16. Why does Christ give gifts to the church? What hope does this give you about the church?
  2. What are the saints called to do? What is your work of ministry?
  3. Is verse 13 for individuals or for the whole church community? Why is this distinction important? Why should we care about the maturity of others in the church?
  4. Verse 14 provides a picture of immaturity. What are some examples of Christians being carried about by every wind of doctrine?  
  5. What does maturity look like? How do we help one another grow into maturity?
